Pizza, Goals, Soda – This was spelled out across the white board today in the 9th grade class meeting. Fitness and nutrition expert, Joe Bauer, stressed the importance of knowing what’s in the food we put into our bodies and knowing the appropriate times to eat it. Joe broke down the components of pizza into a fats, carbohydrates and proteins. He described how each work within the body and explained that people should not be afraid to eat these foods as long as they have a balance with exercise.
The students were engaged and interactive, asking excellent questions the entire time. We appreciate Joe taking the time to come Chrysalis to educate us.
