Dear Chrysalis families,
We learned today that the governor has mandated school closures through April 24th. That’s a long time! I want to send a little reassurance your way to let you know that we will be with you in the weeks to come. We have some experience already with online schooling, so we have a great foundation. Our teachers are now gearing up and preparing to meet your child’s educational needs over the next 6 weeks. We are a dynamic group of problem solvers and I have no doubt we will find many creative ways to do so!
We recognize the importance of community to you, your children—and all of us. Keeping in contact will be paramount to counter the effects of isolation that we will certainly encounter. We are excited to meet online with your kids, help brainstorm activities to do at home, and even find ways to connect kids to one another through their classes.
Tomorrow we will be ensuring that our teachers have the technology they need to move to online schooling, learning new software and strategies, and developing lessons that can be delivered online. We will be ready to meet for online school starting Monday!
Please let us know if you’re experiencing any issues with online schooling. We will do our best to support your family’s needs. And do keep in touch with stories about how online school is working for your family!
See you online!
